Our sister site is situated in the picturesque hamlet of Thrupp, Manor Farmhouse lies adjacent to the 18th-century Oxford Canal.
The Manor Farm buildings date back from the early 17th century. As well as the farmhouse there is a granary and dovecote from the same period. The farm historically had a watermill powered by the River Cherwell. Thrupp featured in the TV series Morse in the adaptation of Colin Dextor’s Last Bus to Woodstock.
At our Thrupp site we have various holiday lets, woodland and organic farmland. The orginal farm house is our 7 bedroom Georgian Manor House available as a holiday let. The site is peaceful and a great place to be if you wish to get away from it all; however shops and nearby pubs are not too far away.
In Thrupp, you will find The Boat public house with its open fire and beamed ceilings. A gentle stroll along the towpath towards the nearby village of Kidlington, takes you to the Jolly Boatman. Both pubs serve a selection of drinks and good food. There is also Annies Tea Rooms accross the canal, using local suppliers and fresh food.
We have planted in excess of 80,000 trees at Thrupp farm making for some beautiful walks enjoyed by guests and the local community. With additional walks along the river Cherwell.
