Job Purpose: Assist the Events Manager in the marketing, planning and execution of events at Worton Park.
Reporting to: Events Manager
Start Date: From December 2018
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Take and respond to initial wedding, meeting and events enquiries via telephone, email, and face to face.
Schedule and conduct venue and accommodation show rounds with potential clients. Maintain client database and run lead reports. Assist the Events Manager with the planning of the event. Answer general phone enquiries using a professional and courteous manner. Direct phone enquiries to the appropriate staff members. Use computer for word processing, spreadsheet, and database software to prepare reports, memos, and documents.
Essential: Full driving license required. Proficiency in the use of the following - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, Social Media sites
Desirable: Prior events experience whether through voluntary or paid employment in the hospitality industry desired but not essential.
Working Conditions: The post is full time 37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri. Regular weekend working with time off in lieu during the week. Role includes anti-social hours when working events.
Salary: £20,000 per year plus bonus entitlement.
