MANOR HOUSE

Sleeps 18

Manor House boasts plenty of charming character with an elegant Georgian layout, beautiful sweeping lawn and barn extensions.

Sleeping 18, this beautiful Georgian manor house is ideal for large family gatherings. With an Aga in the kitchen as the hub of the house, two spacious reception rooms and a large dining room, it is the perfect house for gathering and entertaining.

Retaining many of it’s original features, this Grade II listed property has 7 beautiful bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a grand dining room, a games room, large living room and a reading room. The gardens are ideal for BBQ’s, picnics and croquet in the summer months, or retreat to the living room or reading room and cosy up next to the log burners with a hot chocolate in hand when the weather turns colder.

The most amazing stay here for my sister’s hen do. All 18 of us had plenty of space in the living, dining and sleeping areas. Location is brilliant, despite the weather we managed to get out for a lovely canal walk recommended by the hosts. It had everything we could have needed and made the stay so special. Easy enough to find with the instructions provided and plenty of parking.

This is a bright peaceful property set back from the hussle and bussle of everyday life, however there is plenty to offer on the doorstep. Situated in the beautiful canal-side hamlet of Thrupp, there are numerous countryside walks on the doorstep, as well as pubs and a tearoom within walking distance. Why not make the most of being so close to water and rent kayaks to explore the waterway, or take the short bus ride to Oxford and get lost in the historic streets, soaking in the beautiful architecture and looking up at the dreaming spires.

Hiring this property entitles use of the tennis court and outdoor heated swimming pool facilities at Worton Park in Cassington, approximately a 10 minute drive away. Please note the pool is open on a seasonal basis; pool opening times also apply.

Manor House is set alongside two of our properties, namely Coach House which sleeps 12 and The Dovecote which sleeps 2. If you are looking for extra space then we would definitely recommend enquiring about the availability of either house. View further details here:

We had a great time at the Manor House. It’s really huge! Eleven of us stayed and we had lots of space. The social areas are really spacious - There are two sitting rooms but we only really used one. The games room is also a nice addition. The kitchen is big and well stocked with appliances - including two fridges. And plenty of bathrooms spread around the house! Upstairs there are loads of bedrooms to choose from. Nice gardens all round - The main social room felt private even with two walls of windows looking out on to the garden. Would defo stay here again and recommend to anybody.

We had a fantastic stay at the Manor House! The house was absolutely beautiful - so large and spacious- perfect for the amount of attendees! There was plenty of crockery, cookware and glasses for all guests! The area surrounding the house was beautiful too, we went for a few walks down the canal! We were also so lucky to have beautiful weather so was able to enjoy the garden too! We visited Annie’s Tea Room across the road for breakfast after check out. We booked, and also pre ordered to give them warning as we were a large group- they were absolutely fantastic and so friendly and welcoming too. Overall a great weekend - thank you!
