We’re thrilled to finally share some of the stunning renovations and thoughtful updates we’ve made to The Farmhouse, one of our most loved holiday properties. Over the past six months, we’ve been hard at work enhancing both the functionality and charm of this beautiful countryside cottage, and we think the results speak for themselves. Whether you’ve stayed with us before or are planning your first visit, here’s a look at the key changes that make The Farmhouse feel more luxurious, spacious, and welcoming than ever.
A Beautiful Blend of Old and New
Our most exciting transformation is the former conservatory, now a stylish orangery. The space retains many of its original features like the classic tiled floor, stone walls and natural light while offering a refreshed, elegant look. The space functions incredible well for a quiet, sunny-lit communal space with the adjourning internal courtyard.
Cosy Bedrooms with New Furnishings
The Farmhouse has 10 bedrooms which have all had some TLC to help them feel more welcoming and comfortable. Each of them have been updated either with new furnishings, colours or carpets.
One of the downstairs bedrooms has been completely reconfigured to embrace the original features of the room like the stone walling. The room now feels much more accommodating which is perfect after a busy day exploring the nearby Cotswold villages or historic Oxford Landmarks.
Upstairs, new carpeting and furnishings have been added to help make the bedrooms feel more comfortable and cohesive.

Luxury Bathroom Upgrades
Each of the upstairs bathroom have been fully renovated with a modern, spa-like finish.
A guest favourite so far has been the Jack and Jill bathroom which some guests have said they wished they could have it at home. The natural light really brings out the beautiful tiles and character.
Some of the other bathrooms have been fitted with soft carpeted flooring adding a nice feeling of luxury underfoot.
Feast
One of our personal favourite spaces in the house is the conservatory dining area which we know has hosted many memorable family gatherings and corporate events. Although the space hasn't changed all too much, we’ve added a new dining table and tableware which is more in keeping with the space and we’re thrilled with the result.
A Space To Relax
The Farmhouse living room also received some love with new sofa’s which are extra comfy, trust us! Its definitely gong to be a treat sitting in front of the fire and putting your feet up.
The Garden
The Farmhouse garden hasn't seen any major changes but is constantly improved upon with new bulbs being planted each year. We love seeing blooms year round outside the Farmhouse which takes inspiration from classic cottage gardens. It’s always a treat to sit down with friends and family and look over the large sweeping lawn, maybe even spotting a rabbit or two for those guests who enjoy some peace and quiet.
